Grandfather clock : This has been serviced and repaired but not fully restored. The main difference between Service and repair and restored is the clock will be inspected for damage and wear then fully stripped cleaned holes bushed and broken parts repaired, reassembled oiled and new lines fitted. Where as restoration would include bringing the damaged or badly repaired parts of the movement back to its original condition, this is why restoration will cost a lot more than service and repair.
